Title: Every Thing Fades
REBLOG FOR A CHANCE TO WIN!
Found this online during a Google search of myself. Yeah, I search my name, big whoop, wanna fight about it?
And no, I have no plans to run for state representative.
Cedric Delsaux is a photographer that imposes Star Wars objects on his photos for a series called The Dark Lens. Here is one example of a stunning composite he’s created.

Anthology is a project I came up with quite a while back (too long ago) and I’ve been chipping away at it ever since.
The process, as I imagined it, has many parts. Concept work for the playlists and the art, designing the playlists, listening to the playlists, changing the playlists, listening again, design artwork around the playlists, critique the artwork, make changes, etc. And this is largely the way I’ve been working through the project. And I’m confident that this is the way I need to do it to uphold the standard of quality I’ve set for myself.
If I was freelancing this project, I’d be devoting much more time to it and it would likely be done. As it stands though, I have a near full-time job, and don’t have a ton of time in the evenings. I guess my point is, don’t sacrifice quality for any reason, even if it takes a bit longer. And if you’re on a deadline, work harder. I’ll leave you with this awesome motivational JPG.

I’m setting a deadline of next Wednesday to finish this project. I’m dragging my feet (not to mention I was in the Smoky Mtns. all week) for too long.
It’s a personal project, but I’d really like to be done with it sometime soon. When it’s done, I can tackle some smaller and possibly more important projects.
Retro. That’s the best word I can use to describe the Anthology project. Everybody’s first reaction is some variation of:
“Why are you using cassette tapes? They’re so OLD.”
Well I’m OK with that. Bands still use vinyl records because people still have turntables. I’m using cassettes because I have a cassette player in my car.
Plus it’s retro. And that is awesome. That is all.
